Can you void a deposit in QuickBooks Online?

If you have sent payroll to QuickBooks, you can void the paycheck. However, depending on your processing time, the debit from your bank account for payroll taxes and direct deposit may not be stopped.
Understand the difference between voiding and deleting a transaction. If you void a transaction, the record of it remains in QuickBooks but it won't affect your books. If you delete a transaction, it's entirely removed from your books and won't appear in any reports or accounts.
From the Activity & Reports drop-down, select Transactions. Enter the appropriate date range and select Search. Select the Transaction ID or the transaction you want to reverse. Select Reverse (Void/Credit).
Deposits in QuickBooks can be removed using the Make Deposits window. When removing the deposit, the payment is removed as well if you are using the Undeposited Funds account.

Void or delete a transaction

How do I undo a delete deposit in QuickBooks Online?

Before you decide to delete or void a bill/bill payment check, consider this: Void a Bill/Bill Payment check - the amount changes to zero but keeps a record of the transaction in QuickBooks. the transaction is removed entirely from QuickBooks. It also causes the bill(s) paid to return to unpaid status.
Void a payment: This changes your payment dollar amount to zero. You may need to make adjustments to balance your books. This doesn't stop a direct deposit from processing and doesn't return funds to you. You may not be able to void payments already offloaded or processed.
When you void a transaction in QuickBooks, you still have a record of the transaction, but it won't affect your account balances or reports. When you delete a transaction in QuickBooks, the transaction is completely erased from your books, and it won't appear on any reports or in any accounts.

What happens if you accidentally deposit?
You cannot keep money that was mistakenly deposited into your account; it must be returned. Failing to report and return the money could result in legal consequences, such as criminal charges. Contact your bank immediately when you notice the error and keep records of your interactions.
I changed my mind
If you decide to cancel something you paid a deposit for, the seller is usually not required to give your money back. In some cases, the seller might allow cancellations if you change your mind, depending on the terms and conditions (see above).
If you deposit a check into your account which is fraudulent, or doesn't have funds in the writers account to cover it, the deposit will be reversed and funds removed from your account.
You can void a payment if the transaction hasn't settled yet. QuickBooks keeps track of this for you. If you try to void a payment that's already settled, QuickBooks lets you know, and you can refund it or give a credit instead. In general, it's better to void a payment if you can.
So long as the mobile deposit status is “held for review,” you can delete the deposit.
