Loranocarter+Phoenix

James Earl Jones created the Loranocarter+Phoenix sculpture for the Phoenix Art Museum in 2005. The series consists of five different handcrafted sculptures and each one takes about two years to complete. Loranocarter+Phoenix took about four years to complete and is an extension of Jones’ earlier work, Dark Phoenix. This sculpture depicts the Greek mythological bird, the phoenix.

Loranocarter is a self-trained artist
